Real Madrid will be aiming to extend their impressive unbeaten run on home soil when Real Zaragoza visit the Bernabeu on Saturday evening.
Jose Mourinho's men are unbeaten in their last 20 matches at home and will be keen to close the gap on league leaders Barcelona, who hold an eight point lead over their bitter rivals.
However, Mourinho will have to make do without the services of five first-team players due to injury or suspension.
Midfielder Xabi Alonso serves a suspension after accruing his fifth yellow card of the season in the 5-0 victory over Real Mallorca last time out.
Alvaro Arbeloa, Fabio Coentrao, Marcelo and Sami Khedira are ruled out through injury.
Zaragoza boss Manolo Jimenez will be without the injured trio of Adam Pinter, Ivan Obradovic and Maurizio Lanzaro.
A number of first-team players are set to return to the starting line-up, though, after being rested for the 1-0 Copa del Rey triumph over Granada in midweek.
