The Toffees came from two goals down to clinch a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in a pulsating Merseyside derby last weekend, their third successive stalemate in the top flight, although they are unbeaten in their last six matches.

The Cottagers, meanwhile also came off a thrilling 3-3 draw at Reading last time out, and they too haven't been defeated in their previous three outings.

The seventh-placed west Londoners are trailing their weekend opponents by just two points and two places in the league after nine fixtures.

In team news, Fulham boss Martin Jol will be boosted by the news that defender Chris Baird has been declared fit for the visit of the Merseysiders.

The Northern Ireland international was hurt after colliding with the advertising hoardings while celebrating his goal against the Royals.

However, Baird has shaken off the knock to come into contention for this weekend's encounter, but Simon Davies is still missing as he works his back from hip surgery, while fellow midfielder Mickael Tavares is ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Everton manager David Moyes welcomes back Steven Pienaar from a one-match ban and the midfielder could come in for Kevin Mirallas, who is doubtful with an ankle injury he sustained against the Reds.

Should Mirallas recover in time for Saturday's clash, then Steven Naismith is likely to make way in the starting line-up.

Moyes is still without midfielder Darron Gibson, who is still struggling with a thigh injury, which has kept him out since September 1.
