In seventh with 37 points, Phunya Sele Sele are level with Free State Stars in fifth and sixth-placed Bidvest Wits, albeit with an inferior goal difference.

Matsatsantsa, meanwhile, head into this midweek fixture in fourth, a further two points better off.

SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt hit out at his side's poor finishing after they narrowly defeated 10-man Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday as Celtic continued to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to AmaZulu with a 1-0 defeat of Golden Arrows that preceded their 1-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns.

After his team's last tie, Hunt said: "You can't be happy with that. We should have won that game comfortably and we put unnecessary pressure on ourselves.

"We've done it the whole season not killing off games. There were so many chances once again and nothing came. And then we held on and our keeper has to make a save at the end, it is totally unacceptable."

And while Celtic boss Clinton Larsen praise his player's efforts last time out, he was less than impressed with their overall performance.

He said: "They left it all out there and fought for the three points. They defended exactly the way we wanted them to and I'm very pleased with the effort, not so much the performance, but the effort from the boys, I'm very pleased with."

While SuperSport are unbeaten in nine leading up to this match, Celtic have won their last two since the defeat to Usuthu.

Neither side have revealed any new injury concerns but Celtic have Itumeleng Duiker suspended for this tie.
