At the Ulundi Stadium in Durban, Polokwane City hammered a hapless Island FC 7-2, the NFD side proving far too strong for the Second Division minnows.
Up in Mpumalanga, First Division outfit Vasco da Gama cruised through to an easy 4-1 win over Second Division team Mbombela United at the Kanyamazane Stadium.
The Cape side were ahead after only 10 minutes through Nigerian striker George Akpabio's chip.
The second goal arrived midway through the first stanza, with Jonathan Fransman deflecting the ball into the net.
Mbombela were back in the game when Charles Mogashwa slotted home a penalty after Thuso Shuping had been fouled.
But their hopes soon went up in smoke as Fransman added his second goal on the hour mark, before a late individual goal from Nathan Gertse wrapped up the match.
At the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, Jomo Cosmos were made to work hard for their 2-0 victory over Magesi FC.
The victory was secured thanks to a brace from Phethego Maebela, whose first goal arrived after just a minute's play, the striker converting well after an assist from Mbongeni Gumede.
Magesi played some good football and worked hard to try and get back into the game, but were also fortunate not to concede further goals as Ezenkosi twice hit the woodwork.
Maebela's second goal and the last of the match came around the hour mark and was in the form of a powerful header from a corner.
