There was an early scare for the PSL club when they went 1-0 down after just four minutes.

Alcaardo van Graan, on loan from Ajax, kinked his way past a couple of defenders.

His last touch enabled Celtic keeper Patrick Tignyemb to come and gather the ball, but van Graan nipped in to steal the ball out of his hands, possibly illegally, before scoring from a tight angle.

For the most past though the game was of poor quality, with players on both sides unable to come to terms with the shocking quality of the pitch.

The hosts began to dominate the game, in terms of possession and territory.

But their play around the Milano box lacked penetration and as a result it took until the 41st minute for the goal to arrive, which saw captain Thabo Nthethe popping up at the back post to head home Augustine Leonard's cross.

Milano had up until that point lacked much ambition in attack, preferring rather to sit back and look to counter.

Little changed after the restart as Celtic remained on attack and looked the likelier side to score.

The third goal came 15 minuets from time when Lackay picked the ball up on the edge of the area and fired in a low swerving shot, which found its way through a cluster of defenders and through the goal-keeper's legs.

The victory was sealed on 90 minutes, with former Santos striker Lennox Bacela scoring with a clinical header from Lakay's cross.
