The match takes place at the Moruleng Stadium near Rustenburg.

The Cape side go into the match in last position in the Absa Premiership but can, however, take some measure of confidence from last weekend's result - a much improved performance saw them beat Black Leopards 3-1 at Philippi.

But overconfidence from the Chilli Boys could be dangerous - Leopards are a side in very poor form themselves, while that joy was short-lived after losing 2-1 to Bidvest Wits on Wednesday.

The bottom line is that Chippa are occupying position 16 in the Absa Premiership table and have won only one of their last eight matches.

Goal-scoring has been a major issue for the Cape rookies. Their top goal-scorer Welcome Qalanto has seven goals to his credit.

Next on the list is Larry Cohen with two goals, and Cohen has since moved onto Moroka Swallows. Petros Ngebo also has two, and more goals are needed by the lanky striker who helped the club to promotion last season with regular visits to the back of the net.

There is, however, some reason for optimism following the arrival of former Bafana Bafana defender Mbulelo Mabizela, as well as the highly talented, yet sometimes wayward winger, Masibusane Zongo, a matchwinner on his day.

For their part, United are enjoying a relatively good season in the NFD, currently lying in seventh position, seven points away of the promotion play-off places.

Recent form however has not been too great for the team - they have failed to win any of their last four league encounters, while only edged into the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup by beating lowly Roses United 2-1.

Coached these days by club director Richard Makhoba, who bills himself as the 'Little Jomo Sono', United relocated from Kimberley to the North West at the start of the current season.

The team is devoid of any big-name players, but do have two promising youngsters from Mamelodi Sundonws on loan at the club - Walter Maponyane, a right back, and Siyabulela Shai, an exciting winger and son of former Brazilians legend Isaac Shai.
