Their 1-0 win on Saturday was new coach Craig Rosslee's first three points since taking over from the sacked Roger Palmgren in November last year - and only the club's third win all season.

In the wake of that victory, the former Ajax Cape Town boss insisted that "every game is a cup final", as they look to beat the drop.

Usuthu head into this match rock bottom of the standings but level on points with Chippa United and Ajax, while Matsatsantsa currently occupy 10th place with 20 points.

Gavin Hunt's men come into this match on the back of a 1-0 CAF Confederations Cup victory over FC Don Bosco that followed a narrow 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates.

And leading up to this match, AmaZulu captain Tapuwa Kapini says he hopes he can keep another clean sheet - having returned from injury.

Kapini was sidelined for much of the season with an ankle injury but has since returned following surgery.

He told the club's official website: "It's up to us to work as a team to move away from where we are but I'm happy with my return.

"As a goalkeeper you have to lead by example, that's why they always say that goalkeepers win you matches.

"All over the world there are goalkeepers who are doing well for their teams week in and week out and I think that's what motivates me to play well.

"It was difficult to sit on the sidelines with an injury while the team was not doing well but at the same time I cannot fault 'Kati' (Mzimela) or 'Philo' (Zikalala) because they tried their best, it was just a difficult time for the team."

He added: "SuperSport United is a strong team, they've won the league on a number of occasions and I'm sure they also want to move up the table, but we'll go out there looking for another win for us and for the supporters."

Neither side have reported any major injuries or suspensions ahead of their tie.
