Ea Lla Koto resumed their PSL season in the worst possible fashion after going down 2-1 to leaders Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night.

Fikru Lemessa produced an instant contender for goal of the season to put Stars ahead at Soccer City, but Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Bernard Parker replied for Amakhosi in the final 13 minutes to snatch all three points.

The weekend's defeat left Steve Komphela's side in fourth spot on the Premiership table with 28 points.

Komphela questioned some of the refereeing decisions in the wake of the weekend's defeat to Chiefs, but the 45-year-old has since focused on the positives going forward.

"We are playing as a team and are very effective which is what we must try by all means to keep," he told the club's official website.

"From here on we just have to look forward to the following matches and take it a match at a time. We are still in the 4th spot and despite losing we still have a good chance to collect some vital points."

Meanwhile, the Team of Choice suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to comeback kings Mamelodi Sundowns last Friday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Three days prior, Ernst Middendorp's men played to a goalless draw with AmaZulu, but travel to Phuthaditjhaba just three points adrift of their midweek opponents.

However, United will make the trip without Michael Morton as the midfielder misses out due to suspension.

When the teams met earlier this season in a home match for the KwaZulu-Natal team, they played to a 1-1 draw.
