MTN is already a sponsor of the Porcupines and RLG will be their 11th patron. Even though they are the most popular team in Ghana with close to eight million supporters, their combined sponsors hardly add up to $2million.
There are also talks of a new stadium being built within Kumasi, but that should only start in 2016, according to reports.
Kotoko beat Equatorial Guinea club Sony Ela Nguema 7-0 in a CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg qualifier this weekend.
Kofi Nti Boakye scored twice, with Aziz Yusif, Michael Anaba, Siedu Bancey, Joseph Ochaya and Richard Mpong each scoring one.
Kotoko travel to Malabo next month for the second-leg and the winner will face either JSM Bejaia of Algeria or Niger's FC Olympic de Niamey.
