Shooting Stars have announced the Nigeria Premier League side have issued a code of conduct to guide the players and officials in the upcoming season.

According to the code, players face a huge fine for the use of abusive language, talking back to referees over decisions, as well as retaliation during matches and training.

"Verbal abuse on officials and other players, deliberate distracting, provoking of opponents is not acceptable and permitted, this attracts a fine of 20,000 Naira," read one of the points on the code of conduct.

A player also faces a 5,000 Naira penalty should he arrive late for training.

Found in possession of cigarettes and alcohol at the club will be considered illegal, while players caught using performance-enhancing drugs also face punishment.

Inappropriate clothing attire is also an offence.
