AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee is not getting carried away with the victory against neighbours Golden Arrows, insisting they have to do it another dozen times.

This was only Usuthu's third victory of the season and with 12 games to go and sitting rock-bottom of the PSL standings, they are in dire need of winning every match to escape relegation.

Striker Ayanda Dlamini netted the only goal of the game against Abafana Bes'thende, which delighted the away fans, giving them bragging rights for the Durban derby.

Rosslee's former club Ajax Cape Town and Chippa United have 16 points, the same as AmaZulu, while Black Leopards, Moroka Swallows and Arrows can consider themselves relegation contenders too as they only have one, two and three points more than the bottom trio respectively.

"It was a great performance against Arrows and a greatly needed three points. It takes a bit of unnecessary pressure off us, but it's a first chapter because we've got another 12 matches to go," Rosslee said on AmaZulu's official website.

"You can't fault a guy like Ayanda (Dlamini). He works fantastically for the club. He's a true AmaZulu player through and through. You know when you sweat blood - that's what the guy does for us.

"I thought we were fantastic on the night against Arrows and I thought the (AFCON) break was good for us, we're getting better.

"The first game was a start, and I said to the guys it's just a matter of time before we put the ball in the back of the net," he said of his first game in charge against Maritzburg United that ended goalless last week.

"Every game is a cup final for us now. We've got to be versatile on Wednesday night against SuperSport, depending on how they line up.

"We just need to learn to bury the scoring chances from the start. One step at a time and as a team we're getting there."
