Goals by Patrick Malokase, Mogakolodi Ngele and Bafana Bafana winger Thuso Phala erased memories of the 4-1 drubbing Ajax gave Stars early in the season.

A new look Urban Warriors entered the Royal Bafokeng Stadium and Johnson said he knew his team would triumph against a side sitting 14th on the PSL standings.

"We planned for the team that played Swallows and it worked perfectly. This is what we want, this is Platinum Stars style," the former Ajax youth coach told Football411.com, referring to the one-all draw Ajax and Moroka Swallows played during their midweek fixture.

"I know those youngsters don't have the stamina that more experienced players have and here in this heat, on our turf, they could never get the better of us. Like I said, we were thoroughly prepared.

"My only concern is that we needed to be more driven after the three goals, we still needed to go forward and punish them, but other than that I can't complain.

"They did apply pressure in the latter parts of the game, partly due to my players being comfortable with the lead and also because they were desperate. But we could handle it and we did.

"This win also erased that painful memory and the way we did it is what I am pleased about," Johnson added.

Dikwena are sitting comfortably in third place with 37 points, two less than PSL leaders Kaizer Chiefs and tied with second-placed Orlando Pirates on points.

And when pressed for an answer regarding their challenge for the PSL title, Johnson was adamant that his team are not considering it.

Johnson added: "I don't talk to my players about challenging for the title, no one does. We go about our business playing good football and getting results. The focus is on them (Chiefs and Pirates) and it always is so.

"I'm not going to start talking about challenging for this and that, all I am about and all this team is about is good football."

Stars take on Pirates next this Wednesday at the Orlando Stadium and Johnson will take his side to train at Bosmont Stadium on Tuesday (5pm) where he once played amateur football.

"No PSL clubs train in communities like this and it's just my way of giving back," the former Westbury native said.
