After a lacklustre first-half, Isaacs netted in the 56th minute and 30 minutes later Chapman secured the victory.

Mongezi Bobe forced an early save out of Wits keeper Ryan Harrison from the corner, the ball into the near-post not causing the keeper too many problems.

The Students had a chance of their own not too long after, Mzikayise Mashaba drilling his shot wide of the post after a well worked corner from Erwin Isaacs.

Isaacs troubled again, this time having a shot of his own from 25-yards out, Azwindini Maphaha just tipping it over the cross-bar.

Lidoda Duvha had some opportunities of their own towards the end of the half, but were restricted to efforts from way outside the box.

The breakthrough came in the 56th minute when Isaacs managed to spring free in the box, smashing the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal, giving Mapaha no chance of making a save.

Wits were largely comfortable after the goal, restricting the hosts to corners and shots from distance. Thomas Madimba did give them something to think about, though, as his shot from outside the area skimmed past the up-right.

However, Chapman put the result beyond doubt in the 86th minute ,the crafty forward getting a right footed shot away from six yards out, making no mistake in putting the ball in the back of the net.

The win was Wits' first in eight league games and moved them into seventh position in the table, but this could change depending on several other results in the PSL on Wednesday night.

Lidoda Duvha have now failed to win in five matches in the league and find themselves in 12th position, four points clear of the relegation zone.
