After hosting the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, South Africa's football focus shifts back to local action with the eagerly anticipated clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium among the midweek fixtures.

AmaZulu would have welcomed the break after winning only once in their last 10 outings in all competitions.

To compound matters, Craig Rosslee's side are rooted to the foot of the table on 12 points, but can leapfrog fellow strugglers Chippa United into the play-off position with a win, provided the Chilli Boys fail to beat Free State Stars.

The Durban outfit have bolstered their ranks with the signings of Bongani Ndulula and Makhosonke Bhengu, and the duo could feature up front in midweek.

Meanwhile, the Team of Choice are in fifth place on 24 points after an excellent first half of their campaign and will surely look to inflict more misery on the relegation-threatened Usuthu.

New signings Heinrich Isaacks, Dillon Sheppard, and goalkeeper Virgil Vries will add depth to a squad that was already punching above their weight before the AFCON break and coach Ernst Middendorp will be confident his side can pick up where they left off.

In the 11 times the sides have met since Maritzburg entered the the PSL in 2005, United has dominated this fixture, winning six times, while AmaZulu have only managed one victory, at home in the 2010/11 season.

Their are no notable injury concerns or suspensions for either side after nearly a six week lay-off from PSL fixtures.
