The two nations met in the first Group C match that ended 1-1. The Super Eagles were in the lead from the 22nd minute courtesy of Emmanuel Emenike, but lost concentration late in the game as Alain Traore scored in 94th.

This is the furtherst the Stallions have come in the competition, bettering their quarter-final appearance in 1998 when they hosted the tournament.

The comeback against the Nigerians have given the Burkinabe a sense of hope and for Koffi, specifically, a sense of victory.

"We are going to play Nigeria again on Sunday and we are going to win. We shall celebrate later after the game on Sunday and not now," he said.

"We shall prepare well and we will be quick and powerful."

Burkina Faso will be missing Traore for the final after he picked up an injury in their last group match against Zambia.
