The 25-year-old has found game time at the San Siro hard to come by after returning from a long-term injury in November.
However, he has now been handed the chance to get back to full fitness on a six-month deal with the Crusaders, who he left for Inter in 2010.
"I am joining Parma. I thank everyone who made this deal happen. I really need playing time and playing at the Stadio Tardini is always an exciting prospect," Mariga told Goal.
Serie A side Parma are believed to have a clause in the player's contract that will allow them to purchase the midfielder outright at the end of the season.
