The fairytale story of the 2013 AFCON, the Blue Sharks booked their spot in the knockout stages of the tournament after finishing as runners-up in Group A.
Antunes' team will now face the formidable Black Stars at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, the West African giants having progressed to the last-eight undefeated from the opening round.
"They (Ghana) were the strongest team in Group B," Antunes told a media contingent recently.
"We are happy to play against them because they are one of the best in Africa and at this stage of the competition we have to come up against such teams.
"We will now simply keep on working hard and try to win the next game."
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old is still contemplating his future as his country's leading tactician, with his full-time job as an air traffic controller awaiting him back home.
Antunes added: "I don't know which I prefer, coaching or being an air traffic controller. I am definitely going to go back, I just don't know when."
