The Super Eagles, tipped as favourites to lift the coveted AFCON 2013 trophy, were held to 1-1 draws with Burkina Faso and defending champions Zambia.
They took the lead in both games but spirited comebacks from the so-called minnows downed the hopes of the two-time AFCON champs.
On TV it was clear to see that the pitch was patched up with sand as dust surrounded players during slide tackles.
"That pitch is bad and unplayable. Even when we train on it, it's so bad for us to play on," Uche told SuperSport. "I am shocked that such a stadium was allowed to host matches in this sort of competition. The pitch is not ideal and it affects the play of the team."
Fortunately for Uche and his team, their last group stage match will be played at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, where the turf is rated as one of the best in the country.
They take on Ethiopia in what is a must-win match for the Nigerians.
