A 2-2 draw with DR Congo followed by a 1-0 win over Mali means they just need a point from their final Group B match with Niger at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Monday to qualify.
Konadu is, however, adamant the Black Stars will be going all out for a win as it means they will be able to remain in Port Elizabeth for the next round.
At a team press conference at the Garden Court Hotel, he said: "I don't think we've played our best game yet, I think the boys can still improve.
"What you've seen so far has been good but not the best from us, so we just hope we will get the best out of the boys."
He added: "We are loving it here the players are getting used to the environment and stadium in particular.
"We want to stay here so what we need to do is try our very best to win the Niger match and make sure we top our group and stay here."
