The former Azzuri midfielder - who played in the Italy World Cup-winning squad of 1982 - is currently in South Africa as a guest of the Hispanic, Italian and Portuguese (HIP) Alliance.

The former Ghana and Ethiopia coach says that he believes the Black Stars have what it takes to go all the way - despite several limitations.

He said: "Ghana has become a powerhouse and on paper can go all the way, but I still think their level and calibre is not as high as compared to the team we saw at the World Cup 2010.

"I have seen them in their first Afcon match and it was a below-average performance in my opinion but once they wake up they will be unstoppable - they have it in themselves."

The legend nicknamed 'Pepe' said he believed Ethiopia can be the surprise package of the tournament.

"Ethiopia is a good team," he added. "They have good players and I have coached them for a period of a year. They have the capability to become a great team."
