South Africa headed into the clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium with a woeful scoring record, having failed to find the back of the net in four of their previous five matches, including the goalless draw against Cape Verde in their Group A opener.

However, the host nation looked in superb form as Siyabonga Sangweni and Lehlohonolo Majoro struck either side of the half against the Leopards to put Gordon Igesund's men in the driving seat in terms of progressing to the quarter-finals.

Kaizer Chiefs's number-one Khune was full of praise for Bafana afterwards, but speaking to Football411 he felt he could not single out any one particular player over another.

Khune said: "There is no way you can single out individual players after the way we played against Angola. We worked as a team from the first minute to the last and we got what we deserved in the end.

"In the game of football, it is all about team-work, and that's why we won the match."

Khune added there is renewed optimism in camp after the convincing victory in KwaZulu Natal, but admits their progression to the next round is far from secured, with Morocco awaiting them in the final group stage match on Sunday.

"When you play for the national team, you are always under pressure because the nation expect only the best from you and, having said that, it is always important to win," he said.

"But on the other hand the job is far from being done so this is just a step in the right direction and I'm confident that the team spirit we have now will be crucial in the next match against Morocco," Khune concluded.
