Dikgacoi, who has a knee injury, started in the opening 2013 Africa Cup of Nations match against Cape Verde which ended 0-0.

Ironically the defensive midfielder was replaced at half-time for the more creative Chabangu, who is struggling to recover from a groin injury.

"It's unfortunate, whenever a player is injured, it's a blow but we have enough depth in the team and have to get on with it," Igesund told Sapa.

"Both won't be part of the squad due to their injuries," he added.

Oldham Athletic anchorman Dean Furman is the most obvious choice to replace Dikgacoi while Thulani Serero should be preferred ahead of Simphiwe Tshabalala. The latter was replaced by Serero in the opening match.

All four Group A teams have a point each and Bafana face Angola next.
