South Africa opened the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in lacklustre form as they failed to find a way past the Group A minnows.

However, Ajax Amsterdam ace Serero took heart from the performance and is looking forward to their next clash against Angola.

"I feel good. I'm getting fitter and fitter every training session. I know I'm not hundred percent but I'm getting there," he told Football411.

"We need to be more patient. Cape Verde frustrated us. We need to keep the ball more and create more chances."

Bafana next come up against Angola at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday, with the Black Antelopes also having played out a 0-0 draw against Morocco in Saturday's other Group A match.

Serero added: "Angola is a very good team. We saw the game on TV we were watching it and they play very well. It's very important for us to go out there and get the three points just to get the momentum going.

"It's good for the spirit also. I think the team has been playing well.

"We just have to score goals that's what the people want also. On Wednesday we need goals just to give us confident also."
