Fatau Dauda: Despite being beaten twice, he had little chance with both goals and made some good saves throughout the game. 7/10
John Paintsil: Had an excellent game at full-back and put in some useful crosses in addition to being arguably his team's best defender. 8/10
Jerry Akaminko: Conceded a cynical penalty for the equaliser and struggled to cope with the impressive Makiadi at times. 6/10
John Boye: Had a quiet day at the back, but remained solid throughout. 7/10
Kwadwo Asamoah: Had a solid game in midfield and did well to score Ghana's second goal with a well placed header 9/10
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu: Finished well for the games first goal and supported the front three well, particularly in the second half. 8/10
Derek Boateng: Influenced play considerably in midfield and should have had an assist, but Gyan missed a sitter. 7/10
Albert Adomah: Was influential in midfield and passed the ball well in attacking areas and was the catalyst for many of his team's best attacking moves. 7/10
Christian Atsu: Got forward well, but was a little lackluster on defence at times during the match. 7/10
Mubarak Wakaso: Worked hard up front, even though he didn't have many opportunities on goal, his effort at chasing the ball down was admirable. 6/10
Asamoah Gyan: Was wasteful with every chance that came his way, a sub-par performance by a striker that usually holds himself to such a high standard. 5/10

Harrison Afful: Was brought on close to the end of the game and didn't have enough time to influence the game. 4/10
Anthony Annan: Played well in midfield for the time he was on the pitch and passed the ball well. 5/10
Mohammed Rabiu: Made little impact on the game when he came on and struggled to cope with the pace of the game. 5/10
DR Congo
Robert Kidiaba: Had a good game and pulled off some good saves, like his counterpart, had little chance with both goals. 7/10
Mpeko Issama: Got forward well at times, but his crossing on the overlap let him odwn more often than not. 6/10
Larrys Mabiala: Was partially at fault for both goals but played the ball well out of defence otherwise. 6/10
Cedric Mongongu: Defended well throughout the game despite labouring a bit in the second half. 6/10
Jean Kasusula: Was one of his team's best performers and made a series of excellent runs down the wing, his crosses caused the Ghanaian defence a host of problems. 9/10
Cedric Makiadi:Played well in midfield and crossed the ball usefully, got an assist for the first goal. 8/10
Youssouf Mulumbu: Passed the ball well and controlled the tempo in midfield for much of the game, came close to a winner late on but was denied by a good save. 7/10
Patou Kabangu: Combined well with Mputu in midfield for much of the game but faded out towards the end. 6/10
Tresor Mputu: Showed composure to score DR Congo's first goal, his movement was also excellent for most of the match and might have had a second in the second half. 8/10
Dieumerci Mbokani: Had an excellent game up front and was involved in both his team's goals, he won, and scored the penalty for the second. 9/10
Lomana LuaLua: The 32-year-old had an energetic game despite being substituted in the second half and came close to scoring in the early stages with a well hit strike..7/10

Gabriel Zakuani: Defended well for the time he was on the field and passed the ball forward well. 6/10
D. Kanda: Struggled to cope with the pace at first but finished the game well in midfield. 6/10
