Sunzu, famous for scoring the winning penalty in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, is an integral part of the defending champions' squad who are believed to be relaxing at their camp in Nelspruit.
And although just days away from kicking off the tournament, the Copper Bullets playmaker travelled to the United Kingdom to undergo a successful assessment with the Royals, and is expected to pen a deal with the club within the coming days.
"Everything went well. I'm happy because I passed the assessment and it's now up to TP Mazembe and Reading to finalise the deal. When they do that, I will sign the contract right here during the Africa Cup," said the TP Mazembe player.
Zambia start their AFCON defence on Monday in a Group C match against Ethiopia at the Mbombela Stadium, and will also face Nigeria and Burkina Faso in the first-round.
