Zane Moosa believes the backline is the strongest unit within the Bafana Bafana squad and has no doubt that Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is the best in the country.

Khune, just 25 years old, already has 50 caps to his credit and Moosa believes the team cannot do without the Chiefs captain as they head in to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
"There is no uncertainty about his quality. No one can doubt Khune's talent and experience and he is the most obvious choice for Bafana," said the former Bidvest Wits playmaker.
"He is so young and still has so much to learn, but he has the instincts to know when to come for a cross and when to charge down on a striker, he is also good at penalties and has a reputation for going the right way. And let's not forget his distribution, it's perfect," he praised the Bafana number one.
"Khune also communicates well, you can see that. He has a good understanding with his team-mates at club and national level that you can clearly see."
Moosa says there is not much of a headache for coach Gordon Igesund when it comes to the central defenders and says that PAOK's Bongani Khumalo and Orlando Pirates' Siyabonga Sangweni are capable of doing the job.
"Both are good defenders, good readers of the game, similar to Neil Tovey," the 1996 AFCON winner said of his former captain.
"They've established a partnership and they also understand Khune which is vital. Those three have to know what's going on and they know how to communicate with each other.
"The full back positions should not also be a problem for Gordon," the SuperSport analyst said of Racing Genk right-back Anele Ngcongca and Pirates left-back Thabo Matlaba.
"They both are effective going forward and can whip in crosses, defensively they are quite solid and they have the experience now, they've played a few games under Gordon so they understand what he wants and they know how to assist their midfielders and their backline.
"And the other good thing about the defence is that there are guys like Gaxa and Masilela who are competing for a place too and obviously pushing their team-mates to do better," he said of Chiefs Siboniso Gaxa and Tsepo Masilela.
