Palmer joined The Peoples' Team last week after a short stint at Black Leopards and is happy about the move he made to Cape Town.
"It was easier than I expected, the management were very helpful and the players were receptive too. They are all professional and I look forward to making a difference and to bringing success to the club," Palmer told Football411.
"I know some of the players here, Graham King, Pere Ariweriyai, I've coached them before but I do know most of the players as I'm familiar with PSL and NFD teams," said the former Maritzburg United mentor.
Palmer's first official match will be a Cape derby when his side take on NFD and city rivals Vasco Da Gama in a Nedbank Cup qualifying match on February 13th.
The winner of this game will face Vodacom League side Mbombela United in the Nedbank Cup last-32 round.
"I know about Vasco too, but my focus is on my team. I still have to find the best combinations and the players are making it difficult because they are all fit and performing. I have time to select the best 11 and it is a good challenge for us all," he concluded.
