The Elephants are expected in South Africa on Wednesday, with their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign beginning on January 22 against minnows Togo.
Striker Lacina Traore scored the equaliser in this week's warm-up match, while midfielder Didier Ya Konan netted the last goal after Arsenal forward Gervinho scored twice for the 2013 AFCON favourites.
Veteran midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika bagged the first for the Pharaohs and Mohamed Nagui also added his name to the score-sheet.
The 1992 AFCON winners will be out to avenge their surprise defeat to Zambia in the 2012 final, which the Southern Africans won via a penalty shootout.
In the group stage games they will also face 2004 winners Tunisia and 1990 winners Algeria at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
