The African giants beat Egypt 3-0 and came back from two goals down to win 4-2 against fellow AFCON 2013 competitors Tunisia at their training base in Abu Dhabi.

"I am sure the team will do very well at the Nations Cup," said the former Ghana number 10.

"What really excites me in this team is that you can see there are a lot of new faces in the side," he said of the 10 players who will be making their AFCON debuts this year.

"But they played very well as a team in the friendly matches thus strengthening my conviction that this team will do very well."

In Group B the Black Stars will face DR Congo on January 20th and then take on Mali and Niger on the 24th and 28th respectively. All their games will take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
