Player To Watch: Issam Jemaa
A toss-up between Youssef Maskani and Issam Jemaa and the later edges it on experience. New Lekhwiya SC midfielder Maskani is one of the highly-rated players in the Tunisia set-up, and was their main attacking threat in the 2012 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. However, Jemaa is their most capped player at the 2013 AFCON with 69 appearances. Averaging nearly a goal every two games, he will shoulder the goal burden for the Eagles of Carthage.
Rising Star: Wahbi Khazri
Wahbi Khazri was called to the Tunisia national team after representing France at Under-21 level. The highly-rated youngster, who is eligible for both countries, will be in line to make his bow in one of Tunisia's AFCON warm-up games. The 21-year-old is making a name for himself in France's Ligue 1 for Bastia, scoring 18 goals from midfield since making his senior debut in 2009.
Sorely Missed: Karim Haggui
With 76 caps and six goals, Karim Haggui's experience will be sorely missed by the Eagles of Carthage. The former national-team captain suspended his international career in April 2012, citing outside pressures relating to his call-ups as the main reason behind the decision.
