Kadir was born in Martigues, France, where he began his career in the youth ranks of his hometown club, FC Martigues.

At the age of 18, after numerous issues during his time with the club, he nearly quit the game [quitting football] to become a police officer.

The 29-year-old has also played for Troyes and Cannes in the lower divisions in France.
