Gyan has scored an impressive 21 goals in 13 appearances in the first half of the United Arab Emirates' Pro League.

The striker admitted he feels expected to score goals for the Black Stars following his poor display at the previous AFCON in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, where he only managed one goal.

Gyan said: "There might be pressure because people expect you to do more.

"If you don't deliver then people might say your form is due to lack and that is the challenge. Sometimes it puts a bit of pressure on me."

The Black Stars will have a training camp in Abu Dhabi before departing for South Africa to play their opening group game against DR Congo on 20 January.
