The Super Eagles are currently preparing for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on January 19, although Keshi will be without a number of his star players due to their either being on holiday or competing for their respective clubs.
The team will definitely be without Chelsea ace Mikel John Obi this week through injury, while Ike Uche is on duty with Villarreal until the January 5 deadline to report for international duty.
"It's usually difficult to get the full complement of players at such times because the ones that are not on holidays are usually in action for their clubs but we will make do with what we have," Keshi told SuperSport.
Nigeria's first-ever meeting with Catalonia ended in a 5-0 thrashing for the African titans in 1998, while Keshi also remembers the 4-1 defeat to the Basque Nation ahead of AFCON 2000, which they co-hosted with Ghana.
"I recall facing the Basque Nation as a coach. I still recall when we were preparing for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations when I was assistant to Bonfrere Jo. We lost that game 4-1. The reason why we lost by such a big margin was because we did not have all our players in camp for that game," Keshi addded.
