Gordon Igesund has unveiled his 23-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa.

The former Moroka Swallows boss feels he has picked a 'finely balanced' side that he has labelled a 'dream team' and the 'best possible team' he and his coaching staff could have picked, based on a 'strong mentality', who 'will be proud to represent Bafana'.

Andile Jali, Sifiso Myeni, Teko Modise and Daine Klate have all been omitted from the squad.

Belgium-based Ayanda Patosi had to be withdrawn from the side's training camp with an ankle injury.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune, Wayne Sandilands, Senzo Meyiwa

Defenders: Siyabonga Sangweni, Bongani Khumalo, Thabo Nthethe, Anele Ngcongca, Siboniso Gaxa, Thabo Matlaba, Tsepo Masilela

Midfielders: Kagisho Dikgacoi, Dean Furman, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Oupa Manyisa, May Mahlangu, Thulani Serero, Lerato Chabangu,Thuso Phala, Siphiwe Tshabalala

Strikers: Bernard Parker, Katlego Mphela, Tokelo Rantie, Lehlohonolo Majoro
