Niger national team coach Gernot Rohr has announced a preliminary squad of 26 players that will do duty in three friendly matches prior to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad is made up mainly of players based in various African leagues, including two players from South Africa.
Niger take on Ethiopia on December 30 in Addis Ababa in their first friendly game.
Next up is a match with Togo on January 5 in Niamey, before they lock horns with Burkina Faso on January 10 in South Africa.
Niger are in Group B, along with Ghana, Mali and the DR Congo.
The Mena squad will be trimmed to 23 for the tournament proper.
