Menas played out to a 0-0 draw with the Panthers in their Group E clash back in June, when Charly Moussono lined up for the AFCON 2012 co-hosts.

However, FIFA deemed that the 28-year-old defender should have been unavailable for selection due to the fact that he had represented Cameroon at the 2006 Beach Soccer World Cup.

World football's governing body have subsequently granted Niger a 3-0 win, with no chance of the decision being overturned after Gabon failed to lodge a legitimate appeal.

Gernot Rohr's side are now level on three points with their Central African counterparts, trailing group leaders Congo by just one point after their opening two matches.
