Phunya Sele Sele took the lead two minutes before the half-hour mark as Lerato Manzini slotted home from close-range, although Mongezi Bobe struck back four minutes later to level matters.

The game got off to a scrappy start, with neither side able to forge any real scoring opportunities, although Thomas Madimba probably should have done better after he could only skew his close-range shot wide after 11 minutes.

With 29 minutes gone the deadlock was finally broken, Luyanda Bacela delivering a dangerous ball into the area for Manzini to head home from just six yards out.

Moments later, though, the visitors were back on level terms as Thomas Madimba's pass picked out Bobe, who drove home his 20-yard right-footer to silence the home fans.

Try as they might, neither side could break the deadlock in the final hour, with arguably the best chance falling to Celtic's Johannes Motlhaping, whose header from a Lyle Lakay corner was blocked by Nkosiyabo Xakane in the 62nd minute.

The result leaves the men from the Free State in seventh position on the log, while Black Leopards lie in 12th place , below Moroka Swallows on goal-difference.
