This, after an emergency committee met on Friday and Sunday to address FIFA's report last week on friendlies ahead of the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa.

Nematandani and a quartet of SAFA administrators, including new chief executive Dennis Mumble, have since been relieved of duty for their role in the fixing of four warm-up matches.

However, domestic football's governing body insists suspensions do not imply guilt for those men in question.

"This action in no way implies that these individuals were involved in match fixing," SAFA said in a statement on Monday. "It is simply for good governance that this measure is being implemented."

The South African footballing body announced on Monday that a commission of enquiry would be set up to investigate the matter further.

Meanwhile, SAFA vice-president Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana will serve as acting president in Nematandani's absence.

"This is a difficult situation for the association, and for those who have been named in the report," Nonkonyana said.

"We hope that there will be no speculation about their presumed guilt or otherwise. We need to allow the investigation to take place speedily and fairly, so those that are innocent can be separated from those who are not."
