The Dutchman was appointed interim coach following the sacking of Maarten Stekelenburg in October, but has so far managed to lead the side to just three wins from his nine matches in charge.
The Urban Warriors' most recent result, though, was an impressive 1-0 success over high-flying Maritzburg United, and Pruijn is determined to keep his head down and maintain the mission to turn around the Mother City outfit.
"I know exactly my position at Ajax and I'm not focused on anything else but doing my job," Pruijn told SuperSport.
"I know exactly what I'm doing and believe I can stay on until the end of the season."
Pruijn, though, faces competition for the permanent reins, with the club's new technical director, and previous coaching candidate Jan Versteijen, having previously hinted at his desire to take up the tactician's role.
