On Saturday at the Orlando Stadium, the Buccaneers had to settle for a 1-1 draw against arch enemies and pace setters Kaizer Chiefs, leaving them three points off the top of the table.

Behind the two Soweto giants on the PSL league table are Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United, Tuks and Free State Stars, leading some people to believe that the title has developed into a two-horse race between South Africa's biggest two clubs.

But De Sa is not so sure, claiming there are several clubs who could make a push after the mid-season break for Christmas and the Africa Cup of Nations.

"This season is going to be a season that's totally divided between the first half and the second half because there's a huge break in between," he said.

"Anything can happen in the second half of the season. I expect teams like Sundowns to really turn it on, and SuperSport to turn the corner as well.

"We're some way from being a two horse-race. There's a lot of football still to be played. I'm looking forward to the second half of the season and a bit of 'pre-season' with the team."

On Saturday's derby draw, De Sa says he was content with the outcome: "Obviously we wanted to win this big game, but I think today was really a six-pointer.

"Had Chiefs won the match it would have been a lot more difficult. At least now we're still in touch. One point is better than none."
