The Black Stars have lined up two friendly matches against two of north Africa's football giants, Egypt and Tunisia.

The matches are to form part of the west African team's preparations for the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa, where Ghana have been drawn with Mali, Niger and DR Congo.

The first game will take place against Egypt in Abu Dhabi on January 10, with the a match against the Carthage Eagles scheduled for January 13.

"Egypt are one of Africa's giants in football and playing them will help the players and technical team prepare for the tournament," GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi announced in a press release.

"We want to leave no stone unturned in our preparation the matches against Tunisia and Egypt will help the Black Stars a lot," added Nyantakyi.
