Baxter was speaking after his side's 3-0 demolition of Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday where "Pa" scored his first goal for Amakhosi and was named Man of the Match.

Following the tie, he told Chiefs' official website: "I told him; 'you have been doing well and now you are regaining your fitness following an injury.

"I want you to take it a step further against Ajax Cape Town and give a big performance. Be aggressive going forward.'

"We did not use him in the first half due to us losing a lot of possession. We came alive in the second half and Pa started getting into the game more.

"He was solid and superb going forward. He joined up with the attacking play very well. He is certainly the best attacking right back in South Africa now."

Chiefs goalkeeper and captain Itumeleng Khune, who knows Gaxa well from their time in the national team together, feels the defender has become crucial to the Soweto giants' cause this season.

Khune added: "Pa is also a calming influence in the team. I saw him calling the guys after we scored the second goal reminding them to focus and take it easy.

"He is one of the leaders in this team having played for more than 50 times for Bafana and also played in Europe.

"His anticipation and reading of the game is superb. I am happy for him also scoring his first goal for the club. Having worked hard in the past couple of weeks to get to his best, he deserves it."
