Ashley Hartog headed the hosts ahead from 12 yards in the 66th minute and they looked to be heading for a narrow victory before September headed the ball past his own goalkeeper on 89 minutes to restore parity.

The hosts started the encounter at a good pace with Hartog firing wide of the target from 35 yards in the third minute before team-mate George Maluleka also failed to hit the target with a long-range effort on 11 minutes.

However, there was little in the way of goalmouth action for the next 20 minutes, Clifford Mulenga's wayward shot in the 28th minute the only other chance of note.

Mulenga missed the target again ten minutes later with an effort from 20 yards, while at the other end of the pitch, Celtic were unable to fashion any shots on goal until the 44th minute when Joel Mogorosi's shot from 20 yards flew wide of the left-hand upright.

And it was much the same story after the break as the first chance of the second period only arrived in the 54th minute, September's long-range shot from the right channel flying high and wide.

SuperSport finally got the breakthrough they were looking for in the 66th minute when Hartog placed his header beyond the reach of goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb.

Gavin Hunt's men looked to be heading for a rare victory having recorded a worrying number of draws this season, but it was more of the same as Atusaye Nyondo missed the chance to double their lead with a close-range header in the 83rd minute.

That missed chance came back to haunt them just three minutes later when September caught his own keeper, Ronwen Williams, wrong-footed with a misdirected header.

The result leaves SuperSport just five points clear of bottom-of-the-table AmaZulu while Phunya Sele Sele trail leaders Chiefs by a massive 13 points.
