Katsande left the Mother City for Johannesburg in 2011, where he has since become a regular for the Glamour Boys.

Simba, or even 'Cheese and Onion', as he is affectionately known, will now take on his former club when the Urban Warriors travel to the FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.

And although Katsande says there were plenty of good times at Ikamva, he knows he cannot allow his connections to effect his performance in midweek.

"We are coming up against Ajax Cape Town and it is a massive game for us. We want to return to winning ways," the Zimbabwean midfielder told Backpage TXT.

"I will always be connected somehow to Ajax as they gave me a breakthrough here in the league but that is where it ends."

Chiefs will be looking to return to winning ways after they suffered their first defeat of the season against Platinum Stars last time out, and Katsande is hoping for an instant response from Amakhosi.

He added: "We are going into the game with one thing on our mind - to bring back the three points to Naturena.

"We are taking one game at a time and there is nothing more I want to achieve, but we are not looking that far ahead. What is important is our next game."
