This follows the revelation that Roberts is ineligible to turn out for the Harambee Stars having played for the Rwanda national team.
Michel, who was appointed in September, is preparing his new side for the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) to be held in South Africa.
Kenya face a tricky two-legged qualifier against Burundi before the end of the year, and Michel has been hard at work ensuring he has the best players for the job.
The Frenchman has also called up former Thika United defender Michael Bodo and Gor Mahia full-back Solomon Nasio to replace Ulinzi Stars pair Geoffrey Kokoyo and James Mulinge, whose club commitments have allowed them to stay away from national-team duty.
Football Kenya Federation spokesman John Kariuki told SuperSport: "It's somehow unbelievable with what we discovered about Mandela. But I am glad the player himself confessed to us and that's why the coach recalled Oluoch.
"Bodo and Nasio have also been called up to replace the two Ulinzi defenders. All of them have reported to camp and are training with the rest of the players. As we speak right now, everything is okay."
