The Crocodiles overcame Wikki Tourists 6-5 on penalties in the final of the five-day tournament at the Kaduna Township Stadium on Wednesday.
The two teams could not be separated at the end of 90 minutes, and the game went straight to penalties having ended 0-0.
Abdullahi Yau secured victory in the shootout for Kaduna when he sent Tourists goalkeeper Daniel Achemogu the wrong way.
After the match, Ambrose told SuperSport: "This is the first time in my life that I will touch a trophy and I pray I would lift the NPL title as well this coming season."
Meanwhile, Kano Pillars had defeated Dynamic Sports Solution 3-0 in the third/fourth play-off tie.
