Tignyemb: Rodgers who?!

Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb reckons in-form Mamelodi Sundowns ace Eleazar Rodgers won't dampen his spirits for Saturday's crunch tie.

Celtic clash with Downs at Moses Mabhida Stadium at the weekend to decide this season's Telkom Knockout champions.

Phunya Sele Sele head into the encounter in search of their first trophy since 2007's Telkom Charity Cup triumph, with Tignyemb confident Siwelele can amend that statistic.

"Everything is looking set and ready to go because the preparations are going well, we are all focused and working hard at training." he told Football411.

"I've been at the club for more than five years now and I'm excited because this will be my first cup final appearance, so I will do everything for the club to win on the day.

"Without underestimating Sundowns, but I am 120% confident that we will walk out victorious, come Saturday."

Tignyemb insists he isn't losing any sleep over facing Rodgers either.

The 27-year-old has scored for the Brazilians in both the quarter-final and the semi-final of the Ziwa Mo spectacle.

"I cannot doubt the fact that he is a good player and a prolific finisher, but with me, I prepare the same way for every opponent, even the amateur teams," the shot-stopper claimed.

"I know he has been scoring goals lately, but I have not gone on a special programme to try and stop him. At Celtic we work and do everything as a team and so we will deal with them (Sundowns) as a team.

"Remember to get to me; he must still beat my defence which I doubt will be any easier."
