Bidvest Wits defender Thomas Sweswe will appeal the life ban handed down to him by the Zimbabwe Football Association following his alleged involvement in the country's match-fixing scandal.

Sweswe, who saw the Zimbabwe national team disbanded following the 'Asiagate' incident, is among 15 officials, coaches, journalists and players who will appeal the ban.
The full-back is now waiting on a copy of the judgment against him and a transcript of the disciplinary proceedings before he makes his appeal.
However, the process is set to be delayed for some time as ZIFA have been handed a court challenge to reduce the $6000 (R53,000) fee it is demanding before hearing any appeal.
