Stuart Baxter and Bernard Parker were named the Absa Premiership Coach and Player for Quarter 1 respectively following the prize-giving at the Premier Soccer League offices on Monday.

Kaizer Chiefs coach Baxter has led the side to a four-point lead at the top of the Premiership standings after 10 games, a third of the way through the season, while Amakhosi hitman Parker tops the goal-scoring charts with seven strikes to his name so far.
Absa sponsorship manager Steward Masela was delighted to announce the Quarter 1 winners, saying: "The Absa Premiership season has gripped the entire football community from the very first game of the season and judging from the start we can expect this excitement, passion and determination from the teams to continue as the season unfolds."
Absa also announced the awards that the financial institution will be sponsoring at the end of the 2012/2013 campaign.
The full list of PSL awards:
Players' Player of the Season: R150 000
Coach of the Season: R75 000
Young Player of the Season: R50 000
Absa-lutely Awesome Goal: R50 000
Absa Premiership Top Goalscorer:
R25 000 (15 or less goals)
R50 000 (between 16 & 20 goals)
R75 000 (between 21 & 25 goals)
R100 000 (26 or more goals)
The Absa-lutely Awesome Goal category this season will be partly judged by the fans, whose votes will make up 30% of the selection panel for the best goal of the PSL campaign.
