Bloemfontein Celtic's Telkom Knockout semi-final heroics are a sign the club is on the up in South Africa, according to assistant coach Boebie Solomons.

Solomons was handed the reins against rivals Free State Stars on Sunday due to coach Clinton Larsen's current touch-line ban, with the former Bidvest Wits and Santos tactician leading the side to a thrilling 3-2 extra-time victory.
Phunya Sele Sele will now take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the final on December 1, and Solomons believes it is a massive step in the right direction for the Free State outfit.
"It's very good for the club," Solomons said.
"We are trying to put the club on the map. We have a sleeping giant and I think the giant is starting to wake up.
"We have a lot of young players in the team and reaching the final will help instill confidence in them and belief in themselves that anything is possible."
Celtic had twice conceded the lead against Ea Lla Koto, but Joel Mogorosi's 97th minute strike proved the difference for Siwelele, and Solomons was delighted with the side's fighting ability.
'We showed character to overcome tough opponents like Stars and it shows we just have to be consistent in all departments," he added.
